For the Lord's most evident blessings and guidance for Union University this past week, we are most grateful. What an amazing week it was! The move-in process went extremely well. The Lord's presence was obvious at the worship service on Tuesday night (Feb. 19). Everyone has adjusted rather easily to the new class schedules on Wednesday and Thursday. We experienced a historic day on Friday with the groundbreaking service. The packed gymnasium on Thursday night with two wins over our friends from FHU was certainly a "welcome back" highlight. JACKSON, Tenn. (BP)--UnionUniversity will break ground for a new student residence complex Feb. 22. Representatives from Union's board of trustees are continuing to work on details with contractors, but the university has scheduled site work to begin Feb. 25 followed in early March by contractors to begin building the new facilities.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)--The Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee voted Feb. 18 to give $100,000 to help UnionUniversity rebuild from the devastating tornado that wrecked the campus almost two weeks earlier.
JACKSON, Tenn. (BP)--More than $50,000 has been raised for Union University's tornado recovery through fundraising efforts initiated by Criswell College in Dallas.
Dear students and parents, We are looking forward to the return of our students to campus for move-in day on Tuesday, Feb. 19, and to the start of classes on Wednesday, Feb. 20. After twelve days of giving our full attention to the initial recovery efforts after the Feb. 5 tornado, we are now focused on the new beginning for the spring semester.
