    KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BP) -- Jason Allen, president of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, challenged graduates during the school's 63rd commencement to "guard their personal holiness and doctrinal faithfulness."

    FORT WORTH, Texas (BP) -- During Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's spring commencement service, May 4, President Paige Patterson charged the 244 bachelor's, master's and doctoral graduates to find the lost among the world's 7.5 billion people and assist them in any way they can.

    "Where there are people who are lost, you are going to find them and bring them to faith in Jesus Christ," he said. "You're going to go out into a world of war and trouble and difficulty, and you're going to be the messengers of peace and harmony and hope for the future." Read More

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BP) -- With the spirit of the Christmas season as a backdrop, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary celebrated the culmination of 135 students' hard work and dedication in its 62nd commencement exercises Dec. 9.

    President Jason Allen delivered the keynote address as the graduates joined a new generation of pastors, missionaries and ministry leaders in Kingdom service.

    Allen challenged the graduates from Romans 1:16-17 to never take the Gospel for granted. After all, he said, the Gospel had been the focus of their studies for an extended period of time, and they would now employ it in their various ministry contexts. Read More

    FORT WORTH, Texas (BP) -- Paige Patterson urged graduates of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to continually strive for integrity and to respond in obedience to God's call in ministry.

    "All across America, students are graduating from colleges and universities, and the one thing most of them will not be told is to be men and women of integrity," Patterson, president of Southwestern, told graduates during the seminary's fall commencement on Dec. 16.     KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BP) -- As Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary launched 93 of the next generation of pastors, ministers and missionaries into Kingdom service, a longtime professor was also honored during the seminary's 60th commencement exercises on Dec. 9.
