    KANSAS CITY, Kan. (BP) -- Though a bit early to hang stockings over the mantle, it's never too soon to hear a retelling of the first Christmas. With that reasoning, Sony Pictures' premieres "The Star," a new animated version of the birth of Jesus, in theaters Nov. 17.

    NASHVILLE (BP) -- The latest Star Wars movie has awakened a force of Christian-themed commentary touching on subjects from the film's theological errors to its relation to the storyline of the Bible.

    "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," rated PG-13, is expected to gross approximately $200 million in North America for its opening weekend Dec. 18-20 and could earn up to $1 billion in domestic box office revenue, becoming the top grossing movie of all time, according to The Hollywood Reporter.     DHAKA, Bangladesh (BP) -- Two pastors in northwestern Bangladesh could each face two years in prison if convicted of "hurting religious sentiments."

    Police arrested the pastors Nov. 9 along with 41 people listening to their preaching at a rented house in Nabinagar village 186 miles northwest of Dhaka after at least 100 Muslims disrupted the meeting and began "jabbing" at the church leaders' faces, sources said. Read More

    GALVESTON (BP) -- Now in its 13th year, the Lone Star Rally is touted as the largest weekend motorcycle rally in North America. At least 400,000 bikers, wannabes and gawkers are anticipated to roar into Galveston, Texas --- population 48,000 -- for this weekend's event.

    Southern Baptists will be among the mass of people rolling onto the 28-mile-long Galveston Island Nov. 6-9. Their purpose through Mission Lone Star: evangelize as many as possible. Read More
