    BENTON, La. (BP) -- Nearly 700 members of the Northwest Louisiana Baptist Association's 117 churches came together to cry out to God to bring revival during the local fellowship's third annual "Call to Prayer."

    ORGAN, N.M. (BP) -- With numerous dilapidated buildings and only 323 residents according to the 2010 U.S. census, Organ, N.M., appears on at least one website listing American ghost towns. But Pastor Mitch Newton prefers to think of it as a Holy Ghost town because of the surprising work God has done through the town's Baptist church.

    Over the past three years, Faith Christian Fellowship has grown from five worship attendees to more than 25. The congregation has baptized six people over that span, with three more baptisms scheduled for the coming weeks. Read More

    ADA, Okla. (BP) -- If God were to begin a spiritual awakening in the "Bible Belt," He might just choose a place like Ada to do it. That is what Brad Graves, pastor of Ada First Baptist Church, believed.

    Through a multi-day event in February called "Awaken Ada," the church saw approximately 200 spiritual decisions and has recorded more than 65 baptisms.

    "Many describe what happened in Ada, Okla., last week as unbelievable, overwhelming, anointed; and most said it was simply indescribable," said Graves who mentioned there were a few "only God" moments leading up to Awaken Ada. Read More

    WASHINGTON (BP) -- The widespread sense Americans cannot solve their own problems gives Southern Baptist Convention President Ronnie Floyd hope, he told a gathering of pastors Thursday evening (May 21) in Washington.

    Floyd brought his call to prayer for revival and spiritual awakening to a packed ballroom of more than 600 people at the annual Watchmen on the Wall pastors briefing. He spoke to the crowd of mostly pastors a night after preaching at a worship service in the U.S. Capitol building. Read More
