In Nepal, forgotten village receives foodNEPAL (BP) -- The Nepali man pulled brick after brick off a pile of rubble that was once his home. He passed along anything that was salvageable to his children to set aside. Finally, down in a hole, he found what he was looking for -- their food storage.
The splintered, dusty woven basket held their entire harvest of rice. Before the April 25 earthquake in Nepal, this basket brimmed with white grains. Today, he pulled out one handful of red-stained rice. Read More

Inmates complete 1st seminary prison program in TXROSHARON, Texas (BP) -- Robed in caps and gowns over their white prison uniforms, 33 inmates in Texas' maximum security Darrington Prison Unit made history May 9 as they received bachelor's degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, becoming the inaugural graduating class of the state's first seminary prison program.

Lecrae's 'Unashamed' to be published by B&HNASHVILLE (BP) -- Grammy Award winning hip-hop artist Lecrae has signed a book deal with B&H Publishing Group of LifeWay Christian Resources.
