Navajo Nation leader's faith 'key'FORT DEFIANCE, Ariz. (BP) -- Former Southern Baptist church planter and missions director Russell Begaye, installed May 12 as president of the Navajo Nation, calls his position a gift from the people and from God.
"God gives you that position," Begaye said at his inauguration ceremony in Fort Defiance, Ariz. "When you look back, you never dream that you would be the president of the great Navajo Nation.... Nathan Finn joins Union UniversityJACKSON, Tenn. (BP) -- Union University has named Nathan Finn of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary as dean of the university's School of Theology and Missions.
Finn, director of the Center for Spiritual Formation and Evangelical Spirituality and associate professor of historical theology and spiritual formation at Southeastern, has taught at the seminary and held a variety of positions there since 2006. Read More
