Lee & Rhoda Royce honored for 16 yrs. at Miss. CollegeCLINTON, Miss. (BP) -- The naming of Mississippi College's medical science building for Lee Royce is among the gestures of gratitude for his 16 years at the helm of the Baptist-affiliated college as he approaches retirement in late June.

SWBTS grads charged to be messengers of peace, hopeFORT WORTH, Texas (BP) -- During Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's spring commencement service, May 4, President Paige Patterson charged the 244 bachelor's, master's and doctoral graduates to find the lost among the world's 7.5 billion people and assist them in any way they can.

ERLC panel at SBC to address sexual abuse, assaultDALLAS (BP) -- Sexual abuse and assault will be subjects of a panel discussion convened by the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission on the eve of the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention June 12-13 in Dallas.

'Hate group' status blocks ADF from Amazon charitySCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (BP) -- A nonprofit Christian legal defense organization cannot receive donations through an Amazon charity program because the law firm is erroneously labeled a "hate group."
The faith-based Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is blocked as an Amazon Smile recipient because the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) lists ADF as a hate group with an anti-LGBT agenda. Another Christian organization, D. James Kennedy Ministries, currently is waging a federal lawsuit against Amazon and SPLC over its exclusion from Amazon Smile. Read More
