God's promise fulfilled

TAYLORS, S.C. (BP)--Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were to see the latter part of 2 Chronicles 7:14 come to pass? There, God promises that if we fulfill our obligations, then He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land. Wouldn't you love to see this in your lifetime? I certainly would.

All three of those actions would be truly miraculous. For God to hear us when we do not deserve it is a true miracle. For God to forgive us when we have failed Him so often would be a great miracle. For Him to heal our land, when we have sinned so mightily against Him would be an awesome miracle.

I believe that God is still in the miracle-working business. I believe God still wishes to bring renewal, revival and healing to our land. It has been said that we have been trying to raise baptisms for 30 years in non-revived churches, among non-revived people. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were to see God's hand of spiritual awakening begin this year?

I believe that He stands ready to do just what He has said He will do. In fact, in 2 Chronicles 7:15, the Bible says that He is listening. In other words, He awaits our seriousness to show His seriousness.
