Bible studies ready for Sanctity of Life Sunday

NASHVILLE — In preparation for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (Jan. 19), LifeWay Christian Resources is making related small group lessons available free online.

The lessons are taken from LifeWay’s three primary ongoing curriculum series: Bible Studies for Life, Explore the Bible and The Gospel Project.

Both leader and study guides are available online including:

— Bible Studies for Life adult lesson: “Every Life is Sacred” by Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church, Dallas, uses Psalm 139 to emphasize that God values life, and so should we.

— Explore the Bible adult lesson:
“Value Every Life!” by Jerry Batson, retired professor and administrator from Beeson Divinity School, teaches the value of every human life through studying Psalm 139.

— The Gospel Project adult lesson: “Human Life: The Sacredness of Human Life” by Adam Harwood, professor of theology at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, examines verses in Genesis, Jeremiah and Acts to show that every human life has inherent value.

The free lessons can be used by groups utilizing other LifeWay curriculum or another type of study related to focusing on the sanctity of life.

LifeWay plans to make the Sanctity of Human Life lessons free for future years as well.
