Courageous expanding into 100+ more cities


ALBANY, Ga. (BP) — Heading its seventh weekend in theaters, the church-made film “Courageous” is still expanding across America.

The movie will open in more than 100 new cities this weekend, including two more cities in Oregon, 15 in Texas and seven in Pennsylvania.

It is the fifth straight weekend it has opened in at least 50 new cities. The movie opened Sept. 30 and was the highest grossing new movie that weekend.

Made by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga. — the same church that made “Fireproof” — the movie follows the story of five men — four of them police officers — as they seek to become better fathers.
