MILL VALLEY, Calif. (BP)–Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary President Jeff Iorg has signed a memo of understanding with Korean Baptist Theological University and Seminary, initiating an exchange program between the two seminaries.
“This agreement will enhance the association between the two schools and will develop academic and cultural relationships in the areas of education, research, spiritual endeavors and other activities,” Iorg said.
The agreement, signed by Iorg Sept. 9, allows degree-seeking students enrolled at either institution to request concurrent admission to the partner school for up to one year. In order to qualify for the program, students must have competed at least one year of study or its equivalent at the home institution and must satisfy language requirements. The agreement also encourages the collegial exchange of faculty members between the partner institutions.
Faith Kim, chair of intercultural education at Golden Gate, noted the longstanding relationship and respect of both institutions for one another. “This agreement will inspire and encourage even more cultural awareness and make us more effective in our global efforts in evangelism and ministry,” she said.
Golden Gate (www.ggbts.edu) operates five fully accredited campuses in Northern California, Southern California, Pacific Northwest, Arizona and Colorado.
