NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–File folders, printer paper, writing pens, staplers –- as necessary as these items are for running a church office, they can seem like superfluous expenses in light of funds needed for evangelistic and discipleship purposes.
In an effort to help churches lower administrative costs, LifeWay Christian Stores recently signed an agreement with the national office supply company OfficeMax, whereby churches may qualify for 15-70 percent discounts through the OfficeMax Advantage Program.
“We are always looking for new ways to provide churches with the resources they need while respecting the stewardship of their tithes and gifts from church members,” LifeWay Christian Stores Vice President Mark Scott said. “This agreement allows churches to save money on everyday office supplies so that more funds can be allocated for Kingdom purposes.”
For churches affiliated with LifeWay, the OfficeMax Advantage Program benefits include: discounts on more than 12,000 office supplies; free overnight shipping on orders $50 or above (with exceptions for furniture, special orders or back orders); a “no-hassle” return policy; and a personal account manager assigned specifically to service churches.
OfficeMax also tracks each church’s order history for efficient reordering of supplies. Churches can print reports for financial records.
Churches may take part in the new LifeWay discount with OfficeMax by phone, online or in person at more than 900 OfficeMax retail locations. For free registration, churches may call 1-877-633-2MAX, select option 4, and mention the LifeWay affiliation.
Products available at discounted prices range from highlighters and coffee filters to copy paper and toner. The program is one more way LifeWay desires to be a one-source provider for churches for Christian resources and supplies, Scott said.
“We strive to offer the most comprehensive solutions to equip the local church for ministry,” he said. “In addition to the books, music and gifts available through LifeWay Christian Stores, churches also may order offering envelopes, choir robes, pew chairs, communion supplies, church signs and many other resources through LifeWay’s OneSource Program, often at discounted prices.”
