NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–“The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” national bus tour by Southern Baptist Convention President Bobby Welch is moving up the eastern seaboard, with stops slated today, Aug. 30, in Charlotte, N.C., and Spartanburg, S.C.

The schedule included a 10 a.m. stop at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte and a 6 p.m. stop at First Baptist Church in Spartanburg.

Yesterday’s launch of the bus tour began at First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Fla., where Welch is pastor, and included a 6 p.m. stop at First Baptist Church in Richmond Hill, Ga.

Tomorrow’s stops call for a visit at Good Shepherd Southern Baptist Church in Scott Depot, W.Va., at 8 a.m., one at the International Mission Board in Richmond, Va., at 5:30 p.m. and one at Staples Mill Road Baptist Church in Richmond at 7 p.m.

Welch conceived of a national bus tour rally as a means of generating a sense of urgency about evangelism among Southern Baptists. The bus tour is a kickoff for “The Everyone Can Kingdom Challenge for Evangelism” campaign which has the goal of “Witness, Win and Baptize … ONE MILLION!” in one year.
