Golden Gate commencement extends to 5 campuses

MILL VALLEY, Calif. (BP)–Degrees and diplomas were awarded to 138 graduates at spring commencement ceremonies for the five campuses of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

President William O. Crews told graduates their degrees and diplomas “are nothing until they are turned over to God to carry out His plans.” He spoke at spring commencement ceremonies for the Golden Gate campuses in Northern California, Southern California, Arizona, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest

Referring to the Old Testament account of the staff in Moses’ hand, Crews stated, “It was just a stick until Moses obeyed God. Then it became the staff of God and the instrument of many miracles.

“In and of yourselves, you can do nothing,” Crews said, “but following God’s plan and purpose for your lives makes all things possible.

“God is looking for your obedience,” he told the graduates.

Also included in the spring graduation roster were students of GGBTS/Contextual Leadership Development Centers in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Arkansas.
