Roland Maddox tapped to head Love Worth Finding

CORDOVA, Tenn. (BP)–Longtime Southern Baptist layman Roland Maddox has been named president and chief executive officer of Love Worth Finding Ministries, the broadcast ministry of Bellevue Baptist Church pastor and former Southern Baptist Convention President Adrian Rogers.

Maddox will assume responsibilities previously held by Rogers, who announced that he will continue to function as the ministry’s chairman of the board.

“Roland has a long track record as a leader of leaders and I am very grateful that he is joining the LWF family,” Rogers said in a May 1 letter. “I do not intend in any way to diminish my involvement with LWF, but I am looking forward to Roland being able to assist in areas where I have not had the time to give.”

Maddox recently retired from LifeWay Christian Resources of the SBC where he served as associate to the president of LifeWay Church Resources. From 1983-91 Maddox served as a trustee of the SBC entity.

Love Worth Finding can be seen on more than 15,000 television outlets and 800 radio stations in the United States and more than 120 countries internationally.

Maddox and his wife, Sarah, reside in Nashville and are in the process of relocating to Memphis.
