NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–A weekly, three-minute video, Pastor’s Partner, is a new online feature provided by the church resources division of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention at www.lifeway.com.
Each week Gene Mims, president of the division and a veteran pastor, speaks about critical issues that pastors face.
“We want to be the champion for our pastors,” Mims said. “Our hope is that this new video series will provide help and support to them.”
Pastor’s Partner currently features a series in which Mims shares from his book The 7 Churches Not In the Book of Revelation, published by Broadman & Holman.
Mims said that through this particular series his desire is for pastors to:
— be encouraged as a leader to understand their people and love them for who they really are,
— better understand their own leadership style,
— understand what it takes to develop a New Testament church,
— be patient in serving where they are and not give up,
— take joy in who they are in God’s plan, and
— have a few good laughs along the way.
