New Georgia Tech coach brings faith and football together

ATLANTA (BP)–Growing up in the small north Georgia town of Americus, there was a local sports tradition that the older boys would coach the younger ones coming up. That cycle insured the boys would always be taught by their peers and ensured the closeness and fellowship of the tight-knit town continued.

That was Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Reeves’ first coaching experience and one of his first players was a young Chan Gailey. Reeves coached Gailey in little league football and baseball and the two future coaches found out they had a lot in common.
